Geography

What is Geography?

Geography is a Greek word that means writing about or describing the earth. It is primarily the study of places and the complex relationships between people and their environments.

There are many aspects of geography. Two broad subdivisions are physical geography and human geography. Physical geographers study natural features and the climatic, geologic, and other processes that shape our world. Human geographers focus on people and their patterns of settlement and activity.

Maps are the basic tools to the study of geography.
